We are now searching for a talented and experienced software developer with interest in research. This is a permanent position and will be a common resource at The Intervention Centre providing know-how, research and implementation within the area of image guided intervention and surgical monitoring. It is expected that the candidate participate in cross-disciplinary research at the centre, but With the possibility of also persuing own research projects in line with the interest of The Intervention Centre. The research work at the centre has mainly been focused on the following three areas; MR, X-ray, ultrasound, video-guided interventions and surgery; Robotics and simulators; and Biosensors, data processing, and wireless body area networks. The research covers image processing, visualization and navigation developing technological solutions which support minimally invasive procedures. To enhance the accuracy and safety in minimally invasive techniques advanced methods for cross-linking robotic systems with processed medical images are developed. Also advanced monitoring of the heart during and after surgical intervention is a central part of the research at The Intervention Centre, and software to interpret and visualize different sensor data has been developed.
